Another fabulous day of competition and performances both in the Royal Pavilion and on 'the field' however, the highlight of the week is the event that takes place in the evening.
Saturday night means the "Choir of the World" competiton. Through the week, various choirs in different categories have been having their 'individual' competitons and the best from each category go head to head tonight competing for the acclaimed "Pavarotti Trophy".

Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod
Friday 6th July 2012
Another mixed day of competition and performances. An unusual feature this year was a concert at Llangollen Railway Station where the audience sat on the platform and in railway carriages to watch the entertainment. Fabulous!
The day was topped off by a concert with the incredible composer and conductor Karl Jenkins. Karl is no stranger to the Eisteddfod and in a previous visit, he conducted the orchestra playing his own famous work, "The Armed Man". On this occasion, he conducted his latest work, "The Peacemakers". He was supported by the wonderful Moldovan soprano,
Valentina Navornita.

Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod
Thursday 5th July 2012
Following on very much in the same vein as Wednesday. Photographing competitors and the events 'on the field' (oh, and dodging the sometimes heavy, rain showers).
The evening celebrity concert was rather special and a complete sell out - Alfie Boe.

Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod
Wednesday 4th July 2012
Wednesday daytime and the Royal Pavilion is packed with visitors from all over the world watching and supporting competitors taking part in various categories of competition from individual instrumental and singing competitions to massed choirs.
Outside of the Pavilion, visitors and competitors having a break wander around the huge crowds, perusing the stalls and perhaps taking in some of the other performances taking place on the outside stages
With our photography we try to capture the essence of the Eisteddfod week which means that not only do we photograph the serious competition and celebrity concerts, but we also capture people just enjoying being at this wonderful event.
In the evening, there was a magnificent celebrity concert where the guest artistes were trumpeter Alison Balsom, violinist Nicola Benedetti and headlining, the wonderful Lesley Garrett MBE - wonderful!
